managing the training staff; working with volunteers; and developing and monitoring the training programs for dogs in foster training, facility training and in-home training. She was responsible for initially matching the recipient with a specific dog, ensuring that the dog is trained to meet their particular needs, and lead the Team Training which teaches the recipient how to maintain and continue their dog’s training using positive reinforcement.
Becky McClintock
Becky McClintock earned a B.S. in Animal Science from Texas A&M University. She worked for Texas Hearing and Service Dogs (THSD) for nine years, six of them as the Training Director. In her years with THSD, Becky was an integral part of the organization’s growth. THSD is one of the few service dog organizations that obtain all their dogs from shelters.
During her tenure as Training Director, Becky oversaw all areas of the training department and was responsible for the welfare and training of the dogs from beginning to completion. She spent much of her time selecting and evaluating shelter dogs, and in the process, she developed and formalized an effective THSD evaluation protocol. Her responsibilities also included supervision of the day-to-day operations at THSD’s training campus, including:

Becky left THSD in 2008 in order to spend more time with her new daughter. She was honored to be contacted by Texas A&M University that same year, and as an Aggie, thrilled to advise and assist faculty with the selection of Reveille VIII, the university's mascot. She has also advised other assistance dog groups on evaluation procedures and methods of dog selection, and has previously spoken at a wide range of events, including:

In addition to the seminars and training she does with Seize the Click, Becky also teaches pet dog classes at Buddy's Chance in Austin. She lives in Dripping Springs, Texas with her husband, daughter and two dogs.
